She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge. While doing so she worked in the diagnostic imaging department at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. She then pursued her medical training at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Arizona’s broad scope of practice and SCNM’s systems-based and team-learning education provided Dr. Romero with a vast knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine. It gave her the ability to learn and practice many different modalities that are not available in other places.
She specializes in alternative therapies such as nutrition, botanicals, homeopathy, pain management and anti-aging. She uses the most up to date testing and treatments such as acupuncture, prolotherapy, PRP therapy for chronic pain, micropen PRP “ Vampire Facials”, IV nutritional therapy and nutrient injections.
After receiving constant success utilizing Naturopathic remedies on a personal level, then again with friends and family she grew a great appreciation for naturopathic medicine. Dr. Romero was first introduced to Naturopathic Medicine when she was only 13 years old, for an allergic reaction. The conventional medication that was provided only subdued her symptoms. After a brief visit with an ND the allergy was quickly identified and treated. This experience was the first of many that lead her to ND school. She is passionate about medicine and is constantly expanding her knowledge in order to evolve as a doctor. Overall health and wellness is her focus for all of her patients. Preventive care and patient education are major components Dr. Romero utilizes to promote self-health management.
Dr. Romero speaks both English and Spanish. She sees both children and adults.
