I went to see Dr. Nadia Romero in Sept 2016 and cannot say enough good about her.
5 Stars
As a Naturopath, I could tell she is truly passionate and curious about natural health and healing. As a person, she is extremely polite and professional with excellent bedside manner that made me very comfortable despite my fear of the PRP treatment. One of the most outstanding part of my visit was that she offered me a free treatment (worth well over $300) when her tool had technical issues that she couldn’t resolve immediately. I was absolutely blown away by this bit of excellence in her manner. She could have sent me home but she did all she could (and for free) to make sure she doesn’t disappoint, thank you Dr. Romero!
PRP treatment (Vampire Facial):

I was very nervous as to how much it would hurt but Dr. Romero applied a numbing cream and let it do its magic before the procedure and I barely felt a prick. She uses the Eclipse Micropen (be sure to find out if you want the Micropen or the PRP gun facial: there is a significant difference in price and results). First the blood is drawn, centrifuged, mixed with hyaluronic acid (moisture boosting ingredient), vitamin C (brightness), and some homeopathic ingredients (aimed at faster healing and added elasticity).
When the numbing cream was set, Dr. Romero gently went over my whole face, neck, chest, hands and at my request my ankles (where I have noticed discoloration) twice.Note that there was an extra cost for body. In each round, she applied the PRP over the freshly pricked skin liberally. I experienced very slight discomfort of the needles but the PRP is definitely smelly, runny and feels sticky.
Once she was done, she applied a cooling mask to help the skin calm and gave instructions for aftercare. She also gave me a sample size of a wonderful hyaluronic serum and a face mask to follow up. I left the PRP on for the night and looked and felt gross. Let’s just say you can’t make plans for the night of the treatment. 🙂 The next morning, I went to work with light mineral makeup and no one noticed the redness.
A few weeks into it, I have amazing skin! My biggest concern was discoloration, dehydration and clogged pores and I have seen obvious results in all categories. Overall, I felt that it was well worth it and will continue to get these. I have seen PRP guns give a much more amazing result but due to them being significantly more expensive and needing extensively more healing time, I would recommend the PRP Micropen treatment to any busy people who don’t have the downtime.
Definitely recommend both the doctor and the treatment highly!
