Dr. Adrienne Waunch, ND

Adrienne’s practice applies traditional naturopathic principles and evidence-based medicine. Her approach focuses on discovering the root cause behind your health challenges, recognizing that there are often several interconnected factors at play. Using a systematic approach, she will prioritize your needs, and offer individualized solutions with a customized plan. She may recommend testing, supplements, botanicals, lifestyle changes, IV therapy, or injections. Her practice prioritizes holding space for people from diverse sociocultural backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations. She believes that meeting patients where they are at and working collaboratively are essential to achieving meaningful health goals.

Biography

Adrienne was born and raised in Calgary, but her curiosity took her to Vancouver to attend UBC, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. Working in the Downtown Eastside opened her eyes to the complexity of people’s struggles and made her realize that truly helping others would require further learning and growth. She jumped at the opportunity to move to Toronto at attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Drawn to the challenges of working with those with complex chronic illness, she pursued advanced clinical training through a two-year residency in Nova Scotia with Dr. Bryan Rade, ND. After being away from her hometown for 18 years, Adrienne is thrilled to be back and looks forward to working with you! 


Dr. A is licensed with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND), and the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NBAND). She is certified in IV Nutrient Therapy, Naturopathic Injection Therapy, Ozone and Oxidative Therapies, Pharmacy Therapeutics (prescribing), and Heavy Metal Assessment and Treatment (chelation).


Adrienne respectfully acknowledges that here in southern Alberta she lives and practices on Moh’kinstsis - on Treaty 7 territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani Nations), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley/Goodstoney). She recognizes that this land is within the Métis homeland, and is in the region represented by the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, overlapping Métis Districts 5 and 6.

  • Environmental toxins - mold, heavy metal accumulation
  • Histamine related issues - allergies, histamine intolerance, MCAS, MCS
  • Supporting neurodivergent folks, including those who identify as autistic, or have ADHD

Dr. Cook obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (double major in biology and chemistry) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1998. In 2007, he graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. The following year, he furthered his skills by specializing in Auricular Medicine (ear acupuncture) under the tutelage and mentorship of Dr. Mikhael Adams and Dr. Allison Adams.

Dr. Cook also taught anatomy, physiology, immunology and nutrition at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Calgary for a number of years. He is also a current member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and of the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (AANP).
