Dr. Bristow’s passion for holistic healing began when she was introduced to Ayurvedic Medicine during her travels in India. Quickly enthralled by the wisdom and beauty of the medicine she began her personal journey of healing through Ayurvedic Medicine. This led her to seek out further alternate healing modalities with naturopathic medicine and somatic therapy (body-oriented psychotherapy). Dr. Bristow knows from her own experience just how powerful and long lasting an integrative approach to health and healing can be. She is passionate about working with individuals to emphasize the integration of their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual aspects. She strongly believes in healing the whole person.
She received her Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree from University of Ottawa in 2007. She completed a 2 year Ayurvedic Therapist program at The Centre for Ayurveda and Indian Systems of Healing in Toronto. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, where she completed clinical rotations at the Brampton Civic Hospital (the first hospital to incorporate a Naturopathic Teaching Clinic within a hospital in Canada)and in several community health clinics where she furthered her education, experience and interest in mental health, addictions, and trauma.
She is a registered naturopathic doctor with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).
She works with individuals and families with a variety of health concerns. She has a particular interest in women’s health (fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, etc), mental health, addictions, PTSD, abuse & sexual abuse, trauma, stress (work, family, relationships, etc), fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and adrenal fatigue. Dr. Bristow’s desire is to support, guide and empower people in their own healing process and personal growth.
